Laura Kaufmann ~ Fleamarket Goodness Series

As a life long collector of all sorts of old and worn treasure I am always searching for beauty, interest and soul in the details.

I started keeping my online journal 52 FLEA in February 2009. A few months ago I left a long career in the corporate world and am enjoying using this gift of time to explore my creative side and share my vintage collections and passions.

I am happily married to Mr. Flea…and we have a son Dan and a daughter Kate who are in their twenties and making their way in this world…Oh yes, we also share our home with the infamous Starla…our talented and photogenic feline.

I have found much joy, friendship and support in this online community and hope to help spread the spirit of generosity and kindness through my humble contributions.

Kelly Letky ~  Beauty in Words Series

I am graphic artist, jewelry artist, writer, photographer, image maker, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, runner, reader, gardener, knitter, housekeeper, decorator, crazy cat lady...with a dog. Not necessarily in that order.

For the past 17 years, I have worked professionally as a freelance graphic artist. And for the last five as a jewelry designer as well. I am blessed enough, and lucky enough, to work out of my home.

I have also made it my mission in life to live in the moment, find beauty and inspiration in every day, and add hope and kindness to the world. I would love it if you joined me...

Denise Balyoz ~  Inspiration and Dreams: a Journey Begun Series

-I am Denise - a photographer, a writer, and an artist in development. I am also a single mom of a fabulous 22 month-old daughter. I balance the creation of photos with motherhood and a full-time day job.
-My life would be incomplete without animals and especially my dog, Sam. I am American but live in England.
-My passions also include cooking great food and practicing yoga.
-My chocolate is always dark. And yes, I do drink coffee and tea with loads of milk no matter what time of day. -My red wine, however, stands on its own.
-I love to travel but am often content to stay at home. I delight in the sun but don’t mind the rain.
-A reformed devourer of books, I hope to fall off this wagon when life gives me more time.
-I have never, ever turned down a dessert.
-If given the choice, I would choose the mountains over the sea.
-My inspiration comes from many places – nature and big outdoors, my daughter and most of all, the many amazing artists who share their work and their expertise on the web.
-I am determined to live my dream and can’t wait to see where this fledgling journey leads. xxo

Marcie Scudder ~  Daily Practice Series

Although trained, educated and working professionally as an architect, I never once stopped practicing photography. Throughout all of my college and adult years, I was known to always carry a camera, pointing my lens towards anything and everything that captivated and moved me. In 2004, I retired my old analog SLR in exchange for a digital one, and a whole new world of creative opportunity opened to me.

A true believer in daily practice, I am out with my camera every day recording the world as I see it thru my particular lens. The magic happens in the moments and transitions between the poses…the beauty is in the unexpected and everyday ordinary. By incorporating natural light and whatever the moment presents, I aim to capture the hidden beauty and emotion that lies beyond the obvious. I like to catch the fleeting art of life – both the messy and the magical all at once and together.

I am passionate about yoga – and like my photography – practice daily, utilizing its teachings as sources of inspiration and focus. A mother of three almost-grown children, and still married after all of these years, I live in a suburb just west of Boston.

Lori Portka ~ Finding Happiness Through Art

The Traveling Tribe - Embracing Creativity Series

We're Jack and Tina Fussell and we lead the Traveling Tribe. Together with our family we share a love for travel, culture and creativity. Jack's love for photography started in 2008 and has grown into an absolute passion. He runs Flying House Studios and provides photography for his wife's blog...Traveling Mama. His style is vintage, warm, retro, emotional with a love for the romantic. Jack seeks to tell a story in every photo whether it's a wedding, portrait, still life, landscape or a model shoot.

Tina dabbles in various creative mediums including writing, paper-crafting, scrap-booking, sewing, drawing and photography. In addition to being a published paper-crafter she also currently serves on two hand-made card design teams. She also has a passion for all things hand-made and local. In addition to running her own Etsy shop she has also created a feature on her blog called "Shop 52". Each week she highlights a different locally owned shop in the city of Copenhagen.

Together they share a deep passion to help artists use their gifts and abilities to help others. While living in North Africa they ran a project called He{art} for Morocco with funds raised through their Etsy shop. They brought together artists from the US and Morocco and exposed village children to a week of the arts including music, photography, art, story-telling, dance and cooking. In 2011, they will partner with key social action movements in Denmark and help create opportunities for local artists and independent shop owners to partner with and support these movements with their art.
